REASI : Members of the NGO WECARE Society led by its State President Sushil Sharma called on the SSP Reasi Vivek Gupta and SP Sanjay Singh Rana and brought to his notice the activities and achievements of NGO and sought the police cooperation and coordination.
Sharma said that drug mafia is spreading its roots everywhere including the holy town of Katra and the youth and the college students succumb to their trap. He told the SSP that their organisation has unearthed number of cases and is continuously striving to guard against spreading of this menace.
He said that the NGO organised number of awareness camps in various parts of the district in which the masses, particularly the youths, were educated about the ill effects of drugs, drinks, smoking, tobacco chewing, gambling etc. The elderly persons of the society, religious preachers, social activists and learned people of the area highly appreciated the efforts of WECARE Society. Sharma requested the SSP for police cooperation and coordination for boosting their efforts.
The SSP gave a patient hearing to the NGO members and appreciated their efforts. He also assured the members of full cooperation.
