UDHAMPUR: Minister of State for Finance and Information Technology, Pawan Kumar Gupta accompanied by Deputy Commissioner Udhampur, Dr. Shahid Iqbal Choudhary on Monday flagged off the Mela Kheer Bhawani Yatra at DC office complex Udhampur, here this morning.
While speaking on the occasion, minister congratulated the Yatris and wished that this Mela Kheer Bhawani will bring peace, prosperity and success in the life of people in the State.
For the smooth conduct of the Yatra, District Administration Udhampur and Zonal Officer Migrants, Relief Zone Udhampur has made adequate arrangements of food, drinking water, medicare, bus service etc for the convenience of the Yatris.
As many as 67 pilgrims from Udhampur District which including women and children participated in the Yatra.
Joint Director Planning, Rakesh Jamwal, Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Rajeev Magotra, Zonal Officer Relief Zone Udhampur, Spana Kotwal, Tehsildars Relief, Ved Parkash and Romesh Singh and prominent citizens of the district were also present on the occasion.
