- Minorities in Pak, Bangladesh, Afghanistan on verge of extinction

JAMMU: BJP National General Secretary Tarun Chugh, who is also the party incharge for Jammu and Kashmir, on Monday slammed Peoples Democratic Party President Mehbooba Mufti for building a fake narrative to create a communal divide.
In a strongly-worded statement, Chugh took strong exception to the statement made by Mehbooba Mufti comparing the situation in India with that of Bangladesh and termed it as a nefarious design to foment communal upsurge.
Chugh emphasised that while minorities are safe and protected in India, in Bangladesh, Pakistan and Afghanistan minorities are being stifled to death.
He said at a time when Mehbooba has decisively lost the mandate of the people in J&K , she is only demonstrating her ideological bankruptcy and trying to poison the atmosphere.
“The Modi government has ushered in a new era of progress and development in J&K where people are talking about tourism and not about terrorism that flourished during the term of her father as Union Home minister”, he added.
Chugh said: “The youth in J&K have seen a new sunrise and Pak-sponsored terrorism has taken a back seat”. He strongly condemned the attempts of Mehbooba Mufti to try staging resurgence of terrorism in J&K to fool the youth of the Union Territory.
Chugh also assailed Mehbooba Mufti for endorsing the resurgence of fundamentalism in Bangladesh and underlined that she also has the same overseas mentors who aim at creating trouble and disturbances.
