Medical employees suspend district-wise protests

JAMMU: On the assurance given by Director Health Services, Jammu, for considering their genuine demands, Jammu Kashmir Medical Employees Federation suspended its district wise protests. As per the enticement conveyed by Director Health Services, Jammu, for negotiation in lieu ongoing Chain Hunger Strike at Madam Shashi Bala Memorial Park, a deputation of Jammu Kashmir Medical Employees Federation led by its President Sushil Sudan met Director Health Services here on Wednesday. The director expressed his keen interest in resolving all the legitimate demands. So far as the DPC of the employees, he assured that within 10-15 days the DPC of all the categories of health employees will be cleared.
Regarding the amendment of SRO-20 which is pending since long, the Director told that the matter is already under process at administrative level and very soon the department will come up with the amended rules. He gave his assurance that all other legitimate demands will be resolved shortly.
The federation members suspended the district wise protests. The delegation comprised of Vinod Kumar Sharma General Secretary JKMEF, Jarnail Choudhary, Mohammad Aslam Bhai, Harpal Singh, Anoop Singh, Pawan Singh, Kulraj Bitu, Parfulat Singh, Liyaqat Ali, Jaswinder Singh, Bharat Bhusahn Bhagat, Uttam Chand and Mohammad Saleem.
