BARAMULLA: To ensure implementation of Model Code of Conduct (MCC) for Assembly Elections, 2014, district level, sub divisional level and Tehsil level committees have been constituted in Baramulla District. For this purpose sub divisional and Tehsil level committees have been directed to furnish report on daily basis to the district level committee for consolidation and submission to the authorities concerned.
Assistant Commissioner Revenue Baramulla, Ghulam Ahmad has been nominated as chairman of the district level committee while as the concerned SDMs and Tehsildars would function as Chairman of the MCC committees at respective places
Meanwhile, in view of the directions of ECI, all the district officers have been directed not to issue any order with regard to any posting or transfer during the Election process as the Model Code of Conduct came into force w.e.f October 25, 2014 and adhere to ECI directions in letter and spirit. As per the order of DEO Baramulla, any deviation of the instruction shall be at the peril of officers concerned and dealt with seriously.
