JAMMU: The MBS Hockey Club Makhanpur Simbal won the First Gurdeep Singh Memorial 5-a-side Night Hockey Tournament held under the aegis of Hockey Jammu and Kashmir at Boys High School Simbal Camp, here on Sunday.
In the final, MBS Club outplayed Ranjit Singh Hockey Club R S Pura 4-2. Ramandeep Singh (6th), Karanjeet (25th), Satwant Singh (32nd) and Jarnail Singh (38th) were the scorers from winning side. For Ranjit Club, Shivam Sharma (9th) and Ramnik Singh (13th) netted the ball.
The winning side was awarded with Rs 3,100 cash prize while best player of the tournament, Harsimran Singh was given away a cash prize of Rs 1,100.
Member Legislative Council (MLC), Charanjeet Singh Khalsa was Chief Guest, who presented the title trophies. Gagan Singh was Guest of Honour.
Among others present were Organising Secretary, Jaspreet Singh Jimmy, Rajinder Singh, Raja Singh, Birpal Singh, Karamjeet Singh, Gurmeet Singh, Jaswinder Singh and Jaswant Singh.
The final was officiated by the technical panel comprising Manjeet Singh, Charanjeet Singh, Gurmeet Singh, Parshotam Verma, Harsheet Singh and Tanveer Singh.
