Mayor Jammu inaugurates Rs. 1.5 crore works for parking facility at Bahu Fort

JAMMU: As part of the Bahu Fort project, Jammu Mayor, Rajinder Sharma on Thursday inaugurated the work for parking facility at Bahu Fort area which will incur an expenditure of Rs. 1.5 crore and will have a capacity to park 36 vehicles.
This work is a part of Bahu Fort project for the development of entire circuit adjoining the revered Fort Shrine of Bawe Wali Mata.
The Mayor said that other things in the vision document of the project include-entry gates en-route the shrine, landscaping and beautification works along the canal on road leading to the shrine, planting of trees on the way, macdamisation of road, construction of walkways, footpaths, smart drainage system, placing of telescope etc to further uplift the otherwise neglected vital place of Jammu.
The parking place will be a big development in the area as many vehicles were stolen from the area in absence of the facility.
Sham Bassoon, JMC Councillor, other staff of JMC and locals were also present on the occasion.
