JAMMU: Mayor Jammu, Rajinder Sharma flagged off the Jan Aushadhi Pratigya Yatra from GMCH to SSH to create awareness about the benefits of Pradhan Mantri Bhartiya Janaushadhi Pariyojna scheme of the Govt of India. He expressed happiness that GMC Jammu has taken the lead in implementation of the scheme and the benefits are reaching the target population in the province.
He said that the medicines available in the Janaushadhi Kendras are best in quality as they have been tested by the NABL accredited Labs in the Country. The price of the medicines is on an average 60 -80 % lower than the branded medicines available in the market. He urged the general public to take benefit of the scheme.
He also said that JMC shall also contribute in making the public aware about the scheme.
A street play was also played infront of the OPD of GMCH which was appreciated much by the Chief guests and others.
Meanwhile, Mayor also took a round of the State Cancer Institute and interacted with the patients and attendants who expressed satisfaction about the treatment bring given at SCI. The Mayor was accompanied by Principal GMC Jammu Dr. Shashi Sudan Sharma, Administrator AHJ Ashwani Khajuria, Nodal Officer PMBI Rifat Nazir, Med.Suptds Dr.Narinder Bhatial, Dr.Manoj Chalotra, Nodal Officer Janaushadhi Kendras in GMC & AHJ Dr.Kailash Singh and other officers.
