May Fair School holds Inter-School Symposium

JAMMU: May Fair Schools organized an Inter-School Symposium in their school premises at Chand Nagar, here on Saturday.
In the competition, around 50 students drawn from both branches along with students from Jagdambay Public School and Sri Sai Public School participated.
The competition was divided into two categories viz Primary and Middle classes and the topic of the competition was ‘Save the Girl Child’.
Mehak and Fiza Zafferi joint first, Muskan second and Jaya third. Vineet Verma, Shivam Raina, Satyam, Mannat, Humera, Nita Devi and Shilpi got consolation prizes.
All the participants got participation certificates and winners got mementos and consolation prizes from I.D Soni, and Chairman of May Fair Higher Secondary School, V.K Basur.
Ranjeet Kour, Principal May Fair School Janipur was also present. Refreshment was distributed among all the participating students by May Fair Higher Secondary School Administrator, Lalita Chadda.
Co-Curricular Activities Co- ordinator, Harleen Kour and Ritu Banotra organized the whole function along with other staff members.
The show was organized under the supervision of Director Academics, Abhey Basur. The speakers expressed their views on Female Foeticide, Beti Bachao Awarness campaign, Gender – selection , Dowry system etc.
Ritu said that girls are the precious pearls of a family and asked participants to take care of them. She urged upon the students to spread awareness among the general masses for uprooting the menace of female foeticide from the society.
