BHALWAL: Department of Agriculture, Zone Bhalwal conducted mass awareness campaign on yellow rust under the direction of SDAO Marh K.K Gupta and guidance of AEO Bhalwal B K Koul at village Raipar, Circle Kot.
A large number of farmers took part in the camp who were made aware by JAEO Kot Anil Kacharoo regarding the symptoms, casual organism and preventive measures for controlling yellow rust in wheat.
VAEA Meenakshi and Sudakhna also asked the farmers to have strict vigil in their respective fields to check the incidence of diseases.
Vimarsh Jamwal and Samvant Chopra both VAEAs also made the farmers aware regarding less use of insecticides and pesticides and adoption of integrated pest management techniques.
