Maruti Suzuki Nagrota Premier League Tournament Kapotha Lions, Sher-e-Kashmir Khanpur Tigers win ties

NAGROTA: Kapotha Lions today defeated Bhatyari Korga Spinners and Sher-e-Kashmir Khanpur Tigers won a sensational match against Baba Ped Kattal Batal Kings in the Maruti Suzuki Nagrota Premier League Tournament, an initiative of MLA Devender Singh Rana.
Winning the toss at Bajalta playfield in the Nagrota Assembly Constituency, Kapotha Lions decided to field first and restricted Bhatyari Korga Spinners to score 85 runs only after losing seven wickets in prescribed 14 overs. Deepak was the top scorer with 15 runs. Kapotha Lions managed to score 86 runs thus won the match by six wickets. Rahul Jamwal of Kapotha Lions for his unbeaten 34 run inning was declared Man of the Match.
The second match was played between Sher-e-Kashmir Khanpur Tigers and Baba Ped Kattal Batal Kings.
Winning the toss Baba Ped Kattal Batal decided to bat first and managed to score 99 runs for the loss of eight wickets in prescribed 14 overs. Chasing the target Sher-e-Kashmir Khanpur Tigers won the man by three wickets. Mohammad Rafiq for his 18 runs and 2 wickets was declared Man of the Match.
The matches were officiated by Saleem Ur Rehman and Madan Mohan from J and K Youth Services and Sports.
Both the matches were played under the overall supervision of Faheem Tak, Vice President Take-1 Channel and Member Organising Committee.
