POONCH: Mankote-XI, Malik Cricket Club (MCC) and Banwat Cricket Club (BCC) won their respective match in the ongoing Police Martyrs T-20 Cricket Tournament being organised by District Police Poonch under Civic Action Programme at Government Degree College Ground Poonch, here on Friday.
In the first match, Mankote-XI defeated Singh-XI by two wickets. Singh-XI, batting first after winning the toss, scored 93 runs, which in reply Mankote-XI chased for the loss of eight wickets.
In another match Malik Cricket Club outplayed Islamabad Cricket Club (ICC) by 43 runs. ICC won the toss and elected to field first. MCC scored 106 runs which in reply Islamabad Cricket Club failed to chase and was bundled on 63 runs. In the third and last match of the day, Banwat Cricket Club trounced Hari Cricket Club Surankote by four wickets. Hari Cricket Club Surankote won the toss and chooses to bat first and scored 113 runs. In reply, chasing the target Banwat Cricket Club scored 114 runs for the loss of six wickets.
Mohd Rafi Giri-DySP DAR, Mujeeb-Ur-Rehman-DySP Hqrs and Jatinder Raina SHO Police Station Poonch were the Chief Guests of first, second and third match respectively.
