POONCH: Shaheed DySP Manjit Singh Memorial Volleyball Club clinched the title trophy of the one-day volleyball tournament which was organised by the District Police Poonch at Government Degree College ground, here on Sunday.
In the title clash, Shaheed Manjit Club defeated the Junior team of the Club in straight sets of 25-21, 25-19, 25-23. In total, seven teams of the district participated in this event which was hosted by the Shaheed Manjit Club on knockout basis.
The Results: Khanaiter Club bt Bacheya Wali Club 2-0; Gobhi Club bt Behra Club 2-0; Shaheed Manjit Singh Club bt Masjid Mohalla Club 2-0; Shaheed Manjit Singh Junior team bt Gobhi Club 2-0; Shaheed Manjit Club senior team bt Khanaiter Club 2-0.
District Treasury Officer, Mohd Rashied Dustam was the Chief Guest, who presented the title trophies. Those present on the occasion were DySP Arfat Hussain; DySP DAR Pooch, Mohammad Shafiq and Ranjit Rao, SHO Poonch. The event was officiated by the technical penal including Shabbir Ahmed, Ramiz Tariq, Mohd Ayaz, Payal Sharma and Shaheen Akhter.
