Manch seeks CBI probe in fake ornament scandal

JAMMU: Demanding a probe in the year-old case of fake silver and gold offered by devotees at Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine at Katra, Jammu Adikar Manch President Raj Kumar has criticized the silence on the part of Prime Minister ‘s  Office on the issue.

Raj Kumar said that delay in getting the investigations made in scandal of fake silver and gold misappropriations has given a serious setback to the religious sentiments of crores of devotees.

He also said that Prime Minister Office (PMO) is hiding the facts and shielding the corrupt practices and the persons indulged in corruption which has given boost to corrupt practices.

“During elections the BJP leaders assured that corruption shall be uprooted and shall not be allowed at any cost,” he said.  Raj Kumar along with by Satish Bhagat, Harmit Singh, Ashish Kapoor, Mohinder Singh and Gagandeep on Sunday sat on hunger strike.
