Manch seeks CBI probe in allege Vaishno Devi ornament scandal

JAMMU: The Jammu Adhikar Manch Jammu on Sunday held a protest against the alleged fake gold and silver scandal in Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board.

Speaking on the occasion, President of the Manch, Raj Kumar said that delay in getting the investigations made in scandal has given a serious setback to the religious sentiments of crores of devotees.

He further said that the matter was brought to the notice of Prime Minister a year back for consideration but nothing has been done in this regard till date.

“PMO is hiding the facts and playing with the religious sentiments of crores of devotee,” Raj Kumar said adding that it has been shielding the persons indulged in corrupt practices which has given boost to corruption.

During elections the BJP and PDP leaders had assured that corruption shall be uprooted and shall not be allowed at any cost, Youth President Akhil said and alleged that by delaying the investigations the government have been playing with the sentiments of the devotees which has made them to feel depressed.

He demanded that investigations be entrusted to CBI to ascertain the facts for booking the defaulters under law for stern lawful action within a week time failing which fast unto death shall be observed by Raj Kumar in association with other members of the Manch besides protests will be started throughout and door to do support shall be sought for making protests for which the government shall be responsible.

The Adhikar Manch also expressed its grave concern over yesterday’s fire incident in the store room of Shree Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board.

Raj Kumar said that this it is a hatched conspiracy of the authorities to hide the facts and had demanded that a thorough CBI investigation in the matter to bring the facts to light.

Other present in the protest include Harmit Singh, Ashish Kapoor, Mohinder Singh and Gagandeep.
