KISHTWAR: A driver got killed when the car he was driving skidded off the road and fell into a deep gorge at Bandarkote area of district Kishtwar on Wednesday.
According to police, a Wagon R car(without number) was on its way to Palmar from Kishtwar, on reaching at Bandarkote area, it skidded-off the road and fell into deep gorge as driver lost control over it while negotiating a sharp curve. After receiving information, police immediately rushed to the spot and along with locals rescued the driver from the ill-fated vehicle and shifted him to District Hospital Kishtwar, where doctors declared him as brought dead.
The deceased has been identified as Mohd Asif son of Abdul Sattar resident of Palmar Kishtwar. Police has registered a case in this regard.
