SRINAGAR: Continuing its drive against the contraband substances, police arrested a man with Charas in Awantipora here on Tuesday.
Following a tip off, a police party headed by SHO Police Station Awantipora apprehended a man identified as Ajaz Ahmad Dar, son of Mohammad Shaban, resident of Kandizal Awantipora at Kandizal Awantipora. On his checking, police recovered a kilogram of Charas powder.
A case FIR number 189/2016 under Section 8/20 was registered in Police Station Awantipora and investigation has been taken up.
