POONCH: Makhdoomi Club and Budgam Club shared the title trophy of SMSM Volleyball League after the rain interrupted final ended in a draw at Government Degree College ground, here.
Since the final remained undecided because of the unprecedented rain in the town, the organisers declared finalist teams as joint winner.
Earlier, Makhdoomi Club, led by Makhdoomi brothers, showcased their dominance throughout the event. They had a convincing victory over Haveli Club in the semifinal encounter.
For their professional contests, Makhdoomi Club enjoyed the overwhelming sup port from the crowd. Important to mention here that the first ever volleyball league was organised by the Shaheed DySP Manjeet Singh Memorial Volleyball Club under the aegis of Volleyball Association of J&K.
