SRINAGAR: Minister for Education Naeem AKhtar on Saturday said that a degree college at Majalta would be established soon, thus fulfilling the long pending demand of the people of the area.
The minister was interacting with MLA Ramnagar R.S Pathania who called on him to project the demand for the college.
MLA Hiranagar Kuldip Raj was also present on the occasion.
The minister assured the visiting MLAs that the feasibility report of the college has already been prepared with inputs from Finance, Planning and General Department. He said that the report would be soon put forward before State Cabinet for approval.
The minister said that the forthcoming college will be a unique college with facilities that would be in tune with modern day needs of the students of the area.
