Maintain communal, societal harmony for overall development: SSP Doda

DODA: In an effort to strengthen community engagement and enhance police-public cooperation and cordial relations, J&K Police held a Police Community Partnership Group (PCPG) meeting at Gandoh Bhalessa. A significant number of residents and respectables from the Gandoh area participated in the event.
The meeting was chaired by SSP Doda Sandeep Mehta along with the SDM Gandoh, SDPO Gandoh, SHO of Police Station Gandoh, and the In-Charge of Police Posts (IC PPs). Community members from Gandoh and its surrounding areas were in attendance. The primary objective of the gathering was to reinforce the relationship between the police and the public. Numerous public grievances were addressed, with many being resolved on the spot. Issues that necessitated civil administration intervention were noted and will be referred for prompt action, with feedback provided to participants. During his address, SSP Doda Sandeep Mehta assured the attendees of the police force’s ongoing support and the commitment to resolving legitimate concerns as swiftly as possible. He emphasized the importance of maintaining communal and societal harmony for the overall development of the region. Following the PCPG meeting, SSP Doda conducted a comprehensive crime review with supervisory officer, SHO, IC PPs, and Investigating Officers (IOs) from the Sub-division Gandoh. SSP Doda stressed the need to identify forward/backward links in NDPS cases to eliminate drug-related crime and pinpoint habitual offenders for potential detention under the Public Safety Act (PSA). Additionally, he urged the initiation of proceedings for the attachment of property linked to these offenders.
