JAMMU: Gandhi Global Family (GGF), United Nations Information Center New Delhi, Hosteling International, in collaboration with Vichar Kranti Manch International and J and K State Bharat Scouts and Guides, Jammu celebrated International Yoga Day by felicitating celebrities with Swami Nityanand Award – 2015 at a function organsied here at the State headquarters of Bharat Scouts and Guides, Gandhi Nagar Jammu.
On the occasion, I.D Soni, State Commissioner, BS&G was the Chief Guest and Padamshree S.P Varma presided over and K.K Gandotra, D.R Danish, Wing Commander M.M Joshi, Dr Taran Singh, Prof Sarla Kohli and Shushma Misri were the Guests of Honour.
Padamshree S.P Varma, Vice President Gandhi Global Family highlighted the contributions of Mahayogi Swami Nityanandji, who used to say that yoga is a complete science. He elaborated the contributions of great Swami and expressed that Gandhi Global Family is honoring today some personalities rather celebrities with Swami Nityanand Award – 2015 i.e. to I.D Soni, Shreyansh Kumar Jain, Saudagar Shah Gupta and Renu Thapar, for their dedication, devotion, commitment and conviction in their respective fields and particularly towards Yoga.
K.K Gandotra, Dr. Taran Singh, D.R Danish, Shreyansh Kumar Jain, Gopal Sharma, Shoba Ram also spoke on the occasion.
I.D Soni, in his address, said that Yoga is skill in action and science of union. If you are doing Yogasans, Pranayama, meditation and following all the Yamas and Niyamas, we are definitely acquiring spirit in our action. Shreyansh Kumar Jain, President VKMI conducted the proceeding of the programme.
