Maharishi Vidhya Mandir School to set up robotic lab using LEGO Mindstorm kits

JAMMU: Techtronics Education, Gurgaon sponsored LEGO Mindstorm Robotic kits (world’s No.1 UK brand) to Maharishi Vidya Mandir Senior Secondary School Sainik Colony, Jammu for establishing Robotic Lab in the School.

Robotic Week in Jammu has been celebrated from 24th November to 29th November 2014 by conducting several workshops for students and teachers in different schools like SOS Hermann Gmenier School, MV International School Vijaypur Samba, JK Montessori Higher Secondary School, Talab Tillo, Jammu, KC Public School, Akhnoor Road, Jammu, Maharishi Vidya Mandir (MVM) School, Sainik Colony, Jammu, etc. for promoting 21st century skills and STEM education and creating a unique learning experience where learners explore new horizons about robotics helping the students to adapt to ‘learn by doing’ in classroom teaching besides robotic competitions.

MVM School had actively excelled in Robogenius International Olympiad organised by India Stem Foundation and supported by First and WRO which are US based NGOs. This first of its kind robotic lab will help students to understand abstract concepts from their curriculum in classroom by learning by doing process and also will help students to sharpen their skills for international level robotic competitions.

Vikas Sharma, National Head, along with Henry Don, State Partner, Techtronics Education, Gurgaon were present while giving LEGO Mindstorm Robotic Kits to the Principal of MVM School.

Vikas thanked the Schools of Jammu for such an overwhelmed positive response for acceptance of innovative learning solutions in Robotic field and hoped that other Schools will also come forward and participate in this robotic revolution.
