JAMMU: Lieutenant Governor, Manoj Sinha has approved the appointment of 69 Jammu & Kashmir Administrative Service (JKAS) qualifiers.
The list was recommended by the J&K Public Service Commission after completion of the Combined Competitive Examination-2018.
Out of the 69 qualifiers, 27 have been appointed as Junior KAS officers, 30 have been allotted to J&K Police (Gazetted) Service and 12 to J&K Accounts (Gazetted) Services, said an official spokesperson.
After issuance of the appointment orders, the officers who have been allotted Junior KAS cadre will undergo training at the Institute of Management, Public Administration, and Rural Development in Srinagar and Jammu.
Those allotted to the J&K Police (Gazetted) Service will report to the Director General of Police, while candidates allotted to J&K Accounts (Gazetted) Service will report to the Director General, Accounts & Treasuries, for undergoing the prescribed training, spokesperson added.
