LPEF seeks implementation of 7th Pay Commission, pending DA installment

BHADARWAH: Low Paid Employees Federation (LPEF) sought implementation of Seventh Central Pay Commission’s (CPCs) recommendations on Central pattern and release of due DA installment in respect of State employees and pensioners.
The meeting was held under the banner of Low Paid Employees Federation here on Monday which was presided over by Omkar Bhagat, President of LPEF.
The speakers further demanded revision of minimum daily wage to Rs 350, medical allowance to Rs 1,000, regularisation of daily wage workers, adhoc and contractual employees on completion of seven years service, extension of leave encashment benefit in respect of teachers and removal of pay anomalies of clerical carder employees expeditiously.
State Committee members of the Federation Abdul Hafeez Fani, Anand Pal Gupta, Abdul Latief, Subash Chander, Shankar Singh, Mushtaq Ahmed and Lov Kumar were among the speakers.
The speakers criticised steeply raising the prices of essential commodities. They also expressed resentment that essential commodities like ration, K.oil, LPG etc are not made available here by the authorities and lamented there are frequent unscheduled power cuts due to which the people of the area cannot move about to procure essentialities of life for their day to day use.
Later, they submitted a memorandum to the Sub Divisional Magistrate, who assured that their demands will be taken up with the higher authorities for early redressal.
