JAMMU: The Government has directed all officers and officials stationed at Jammu to attend the main Republic Day function to be held at Maulana Azad (MA) Stadium, Jammu. The event will be presided over by the Lieutenant Governor, who will take the salute during the ceremonial parade.
The instructions have been issued through circulars by Commissioner Secretary, General Administration Department (GAD), M Raju. As per the directive, attendance at the Republic Day function is mandatory and will be treated as part of official duty for all government employees and Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) posted in Jammu.
All Heads of Departments (HoDs) and Chief Executives of PSUs have been instructed to ensure their own presence as well as the participation of employees working under them.
In a separate circular, the GAD also announced that the “Beating Retreat” ceremony, marking the conclusion of the Republic Day celebrations, will be held on January 29, 2025, at 4:30 PM at MA Stadium, Jammu. Officers and officials of all government departments stationed in Jammu have been directed to attend the ceremony as part of official protocol. The government has emphasized strict compliance with the orders to ensure dignified and large-scale participation in both national events.
