JAMMU/SRINAGAR: Lieutenant Governor, Manoj Sinha, BJP National General Secretary and Incharge of Jammu and Kashmir, Tarun Chugh, Union Minister Dr Jitendra Singh and Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) Jammu Zone, Jammu Mukesh Singh have greeted the people on the auspicious occasion of Eid-ul-Zuha.
In his message, the Lt Governor observed that the festival is an occasion to reaffirm our faith in the unity of humanity and to be charitable towards the poor and disadvantaged.
“May this auspicious festival of Eid-ul-Zuha strengthens the bonds of brotherhood and bring peace, happiness and joy for everyone,” prayed the Lt Governor.
In his message, Chugh wished the people Jammu and Kashmir a happy and joyful and prayed for the peace and prosperity of the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
He hoped that the blessed festival will be a harbinger of peace, development and prosperity for the entire mankind and especially for the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
In his message, Dr Jitendra Singh said “Warm greetings and good wishes to all Muslim brothers and sisters in J&K and the country on the occasion of Eid-ul-Zuha.”
“The festival of Eid-ul-Zuha epitomises trust, compassion, sacrifice and forgiveness. Let us on this day recall the selfless sacrifice made by Hazrat Ibrahim and engage in the service of humanity. Let us strive to lessen the pain of the suffering and needy. May this festival strengthen our efforts to enhance universal brotherhood, peace and harmony in society.” he added.
ADGP Jammu Zone, Mukesh Singh wished all ranks of police and their families a joyful Eid. He expressed his hope that the festival will bring joy and happiness among the people of the Jammu province including policemen and their families.
He also directed senior officers to ensure enhanced security, law and order arrangements which should be put in place well in advance at all the places where devotees are going to offer prayers.
In his message ADGP Jammu Zone prayed for peace and prosperity in Jammu Region. “Let all of us work for a crime and violence free UT of J&K,” Singh said.
