SRINAGAR: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Friday inaugurated ‘Sangam’, an iconic painting exhibition by Dr. Archana Jha Choudhary, at Srinagar.
The Lt Governor complimented Dr. Archana Jha Choudhary for her incredible work of art. The exhibition is confluence of Basohli miniature and Madhubani painting, showcasing the depth, richness and diversity of Indian art on canvas, he said.
He also took the round of the paintings which included two distinct art forms of Madhubani and Basohli Miniature Painting symbolizing unity in diversity of art, culture and traditions of the country.
The creativity and unique artistic style of the artist was enhanced by the grandeur and elegance of venue (SKICC). Her pieces, a splendid fusion of traditional and contemporary elements left a lasting impressing on the audience.
The presence of Lt. Governor Manoj Sinha not only added sense of prestige and importance to the event but also demonstrated his recognition of the significance of art in society and support for the artists.
A number of eminent artists from both Kashmir and Jammu divisions also graced the occasion making it a memorable event.
In view the popular response the exhibition has been extended and would be open on 21st Oct-2023 also for viewing by the art loving public from 1100 hrs to 1400 hrs.

Governor J&K, Satish Chandra Chairman JKPSC, A.K Mehta, Chief Secretary J&K, R.K Goyal, ACS (Home), ADGPs S.J.M Gillani, M.K.Sinha, Alok Kumar, Vijay Kumar, Commissioner Secretaries Vikramjit Singh, Rashmi Singh and Dr. Syed Abid Rasheed Shah Secretary Culture and others.
