KATHUA: Kathua Police is initiating a tenant verification process under the directions of SSP Kathua Neeva Jain. As per this process, it is mandatory for the residents who have rented out their private or commercial establishments to get the tenant’s verification done at the earliest.
Non compliance shall invite action under Section 188 for violation of the magisterial order issued on 21st January 2016 under Section 144.
Verification forms are available at all the police stations free of cost.
The residents were appealed to cooperate in the interest of security of District Kathua.
Talking to STATE TIMES, SSP Kathua Neeva Jain IPS said that CCTV cameras will be installed shortly at important locations including Main Chowk, Kalibari Chowk and Hatli Morh Chowk besides all the police stations in the district will also be equipped with such cameras to ensure transparency and enhanced security. She also informed that high intensity hooters shall also be installed to send alarm during emergent situations like militant attack, etc.
