Lecture on ‘India’s National Security Issues’ held at Dogra Law College

JAMMU: Dogra Law College on Thursday organised a lecture on the topic “India’s National Security Issues” for the students of five year and three year law students.
The lecture was delivered by Lt. Gen. N.S Malik, former Deputy Chief of Army and an expert in analysing national security issues.
The proceedings began with the lighting of the traditional lamp by the dignitaries present on the occasion followed by the welcome address presented by Yogita Sharma, Lecturer in Law.
Malik delivered an informative lecture regarding the national threat issues before the country and laid emphasis not only on the external threats to the nation from the neighbouring countries but also on the internal security scenario of the nation.
He enlightened the students by making use of presentation by highlighting the immediate threats on the neighbouring borders.
He also talked about the valour and bravery of the Indian Army during the wars of 1962, 1965, 1971 and 1999 in order to create awareness among students about the role of the Indian Army in times of security threats to the nation.
Director (Academics) Dogra Law College, Prof. B.D Damral and Principal Dogra Law College, Dr. Samiya Tabasum were the dignitaries present on the occasion along with the faculty members of the college.
Vote of thanks was presented by Naman Sharma student of 9th semester of 5 year B.A. LL.B. course.
