Learn the art of not taking stress

My work is my passion and my life is all about serving my country.
Work-life balance: Our mission is to eradicate hunger and bring the world’s best technologies to India and offer India’s best to the world. This agenda drives me and I seldom feel that I am working. So, I haven’t felt the need to balance. But the ultimate de-stressing tool for me is to spend time with my family. I also feel good when I exercise and meditate. I strongly believe that it is also important to learn the art of not taking stress.
Being a fit man: Fitness is not just about the body. It is also about the mind. It is the mental pressure that leads to physical ailments. Therefore it is important to keep the mind still and calm. I recently purchased two treadmills for my office. Every evening, I try to get onto it and encourage my colleagues to walk the talk on business issues. I have tried to blend fitness with work and so can you.
Happiness quotient: If you desire happiness, you must spread happiness. I love spreading the entrepreneurial spirit among my employees, customers, dealers and people around me. I believe spreading prosperity and helping people to untap their potential in delivering a better life for themselves and a better society is the only path to happiness.
Spiritual diet: It is very important to spend at least 10 minutes with yourself every day. Our body and mind speak to us. They give us solutions to the toughest issues, but we often miss them because we are not quiet enough to hear them. I also read books that help me to understand myself better. This results in positive actions and fulfilment of purpose.
Handling failure/success: You can learn a lot from your success and failure. I often ask myself, ‘What did I do right that got me where I am today?’
And then I share these learnings with my team to develop a leader in them.
A song that cheers you: What we feel is what we see. And it’s our feelings that let us decide what song we want to hear. I don’t have any favourite song but I do enjoy hearing different genres.
Books that inspired you: I enjoyed reading Jim Collins’ Built to Last and Good to Great. Robin Sharma’s The Monk who sold his Ferrari was good too.
