SRINAGAR: Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Council was on Tuesday adjourned sine die after transacting business for last day of the Budget Session-2016.
Chairman, Haji Anayat Ali in exercise of powers conferred upon him under Rule 16 of Procedure and Conduct of Business in the Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Council adjourned the House sine die.
The Chairman expressed gratitude to the members of the House for their cooperation in ensuring smooth conduct of the Council proceedings.
The Chairman, also thanked State Administration, Print and Electronic Media, besides JKTDC, Police and Security Agencies, Govt. Press for providing adequate support to the Council proceedings.
The Chairman also appreciated the efforts put in by the staff of the Council Secretariat during the session for preparing replies as well as responses to questions of the members.
He expressed gratitude to all the departments which were associated with the proceedings of the House during the entire session. Giving details, the Chairman said out of 705 questions 458 starred questions and 243 un-starred questions were taken up during the session.
