Lawyers take out candle procession to garner support

JAMMU: The agitation of the J&K High Court Bar Association, Jammu has entered into new phase with the broader involvement of the people of Jammu.
The Bar Association, Jammu on Wednesday in furtherance of its decision for Jammu Bandh on 29th of August, 2022 took out a torch and candle procession in the Gandhi Nagar Gole Market and Apsara Bazar in the evening with massive participation of lawyers including sizeable participation of women lawyers.
They were appealing to the people particularly the business community to make the 29th August, 2022 Bandh call a grand success.
The procession was led by the President of the Bar Association M.K Bhardwaj, Senior Advocate along with the entire team of the office bearers of JKHCBAJ and the YLA. Many senior and young lawyers participated.
Earlier, a delegation of the Bar Association visited the office of Traders Federation at Ware House, Jammu to participate in the meeting of the Federation where Presidents and other office bearers of the various Bazar Associations of Jammu and Retailer Association were present.
President of the Traders Federation Deepak Gupta along with General Secretary Sham Langer and President of Retailer Association Yash Pal Gupta were prominent leaders of the business community present in the meeting.
They expressed full support to the Bar Association and assured that there will be complete Bandh in the entire Jammu City on 29th August, 2022 in case the LG Administration does not concedes the demands projected by the Bar Association.
The work remained suspended in the High Court, Subordinate Courts, all Revenue Courts, Commissions and Tribunals in support of the demand of the Jammu Bar Association for construction of multi storey complex inside the Janipur Court Complex for housing CAT, DRT, AFT, Consumer Courts and Registration Authorities etc.
