MANIPAL: India, with its myriad of sights and sounds, spread across numerous destinations, awaits tourists from around the world. The almost endless attractions of this great country with its rich heritage and culture, deserves to be discovered and celebrated not just in India, but worldwide.
The Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi, appreciated the vast scope of a renewed “Discover India” campaign in this age of social media and One World.
Towards this end, on May 3, 2022, he addressed the Indian diaspora in Copenhagen, Denmark, and requested them to convince at least five of their non-Indian friends to visit India and discover this great country.
Inspired by the Prime Minister’s vision, the Ad syndicate Team took the initiative to promote tourism in India and thereby, boost the economy of the country. Beginning around the second week of May, 2022, within a period of eight months of elaborate surveys and comprehensive research, the Team published a Coffee Table Book covering the numerous tourist destinations with their specific points of attraction. Subsequently, based on the Coffee Table Book, a detailed website has been designed and developed.
The CHALO Concept: CHALO is a conceptualised acronym for Culture, Heritage, Art, Leisure, and Opulence-the hallmark of this great land. Both the Chalo India Coffee Table Book and the Chalo India World website capture the timeless beauty by delightfully showcasing India in all its glory. Along with the splendour of various festivals, the book captures the euphoria of the many adventures this country has to offer. All destinations with their attractions have been sorted according to the best season to visit each of them. Additional information includes suggestions on visiting nearby places, things to buy locally, and a list of activities and local delicacies to indulge in.
The Chalo India World website, though a work in progress, has received an overwhelming response of over seven lakh visits. The Adsyndicate Team hopes to expand on this notable initiative by covering more than three hundred destinations across India and promoting new attractions like local handicraft and more.
