JAMMU: On the successful and peaceful completion of District Development Council (DDC) elections in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir BJP’s district Prabhari for Doda, Baldev Singh Billawaria said that these Elections were conducted here in Jammu and Kashmir for the first time after independence of the country.
Talking to reporters, he said that in Doda several huge rallies were organized which were addressed by BJP’s National as well as local leaders like National General Secretary Tarun Chugh, National Spokesperson Syed Shahnawaz Hussain, UT Secretary Organisation Ashok Koul and others.
Large crowds in these rallies bear testimony to the fact that people of Jammu and Kashmir are quite happy and are delighted over the decision of scrapping Article 370 from the state and they stand shoulder to shoulder with Prime Minister Narrendra Modi in pursuing policies aimed at their welfare, he added.
Billawaria also told reporters that people of Doda have out rightly rejected the Gupkar Gang leaders.
He said that several activists of National Conference and Congress have resigned from these parties and joined BJP.
Billawaria said that along with the repeal of special status of Jammu and Kashmir people appreciate steps of Modi Govt like providing free gas cylinders, construction of toilets, Jan Dhan Yojna, direct transfer of money in the accounts of farmers, Mudra Yojna etc.
Reaching such benefits to the people in far-flung and inaccessible areas of Doda has widely been applauded and appreciated by the people.
Baldev also said that people have fully realized that for good governance there is no alternative to BJP.
Modi Govt, he said, believes in ‘Sab Ka Saath Sabka Vikas’ and never differentiates in caste, creed or religion.
Billawaria said that under former Minister Shakti Raj Parihar, former MLA Dilip Parihar and District President BJP Doda Swami Raj Sharma, BJP workers rendered yeoman’s services to the people during COVID-19 pandemic in the region and that is the reason people of Doda are on the threshold of electing BJP Chairperson for District Development Council Doda.
