JAMMU: The Fifth Sarna Kesari Dangal, organised by Sarna Dangal Committee in collaboration with J and K Indian Style Wrestling Association, took place at Sarna near holy town of Katra.
Treasurer Indian Style Wrestling Association of India and president of J and K Association, Shiv Kumar Sharma was Chief Guest. Sarpanch Onkar Singh, Vijay Kumar, Uttam Singh, Akshay Kapoor and Mustaq Ahmed were Guests of Honour.
In all, 49 bouts were decided in this day-long dangal. The first main bout won by Lallu of Bajrangi Akhara Jammu, who beat Nisar Ahmed of Doda. Lallu was awarded with a cash prize of Rs 5,000 while runner-up, Nisar got Rs. 3,000 prize money.
Members and technical officials who helped for conduct of this event included, Som Raj, Fulail Singh Panch, Abdul Rehman, Sat Paul Sharma, Ram Singh, Om Parkash, Romesh Chander, Sham Lal, Mohd. Fareed, Bishaber Dass Teacher, Ganesh Singh, Mohd. Shariff and Murli Dhar (Munna).
