Hill Council, Leh has been supporting the organisation in the past years and this year also as decided during today’s meeting, a sum of Rs 25 lakhs would be provided to Ashoka Mission from LAHDC Leh. Considering the difficult situation of patients suffering from life-threatening or complex diseases, Ashoka Mission has been a pioneer in supporting Ladakhi medical patients, especially those from humble and financially weaker backgrounds who are undergoing treatments at various hospitals in the national capital city mostly referred from SNM Hospital Leh. Hill Council, Leh aims to assist Ladakhis, especially through various assistive initiatives and this includes the recently initiated construction of Ladakh Bhawan (Leh Wing) at Dwarka. The Bhawan would be helpful for Ladakhi people visiting the capital city, especially for the treatment of complex diseases. The Bhawan would provide accommodations and other necessary facilities especially for patients with economically weaker backgrounds from Ladakh as well.
