Citing some cases, he said that earlier a girl had faced same issue and she shared with her parents and another girl had also brought this into the notice in their department but no action was taken.
He said, “For the first time this girl has dared to lodge FIR against the culprit and there are many other cases which are unnoticed yet”.
“We urged Chief Minister to take strong notice against the culprit and ensure security for the students (especially girls) who are studying outside the district,” he added.
The Chief Minister assured the representatives that she will take strict action within two days.
