LEH: Ladakh Territorial Congress Committee headed by its president Nawang Rigzin Jora paid tributes to former Union Minister P. Namgyal on his 2nd death anniversary in Leh on Wednesday.
Recounting P. Namgyal’s tremendous contributions towards Ladakh’s development, Rigzin Jora said that P. Namgyal’s legacy needs to be told to the younger generations. He announced that a memoir of P. Namgyal will be written, a memorial will be constructed, and an essay competition among students on P. Namgyal’s contributions will be conducted in the coming days.
Senior Congress leader and former MLA Tsering Samphel highlighted the contributions of late P. Namgyal. One of P. Namgyal’s daughter, Stanzin Dolker, who is the Mahila president of Ladakh Territorial Congress Committee was among relatives and family members present on the occasion. Congress leaders including DCC Leh President Rigzin Namgyal, leader of opposition in LAHDC Leh Tsering Namgail Councilor, MCL President Dr Ishey Namgail, DCC women President Adv. Ishey Lhamo, Youth President Tundup Norboo, Congress Councillors, former MLC Norbu Gyaltsan, former MLA Deldan Namgyal and several senior leaders were present to remember and pay tribute to P. Namgyal.
