KVK training programme for agriculture officers

DODA: Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) SKUAST-J, Doda (Bhadarwah) organised a training programme on ‘Farming Systems Approach (FSA): Relevance to hill agriculture’ for the officers and extension functionaries of the Department of Agriculture, Doda at KVK Headquarters Bhadarwah under the overall guidance of Dr K.S Risam, Director Extension SKUAST-J. The programme was coordinated by Dr R.S Bandral, Programme Coordinator and Dr. Narinder Paul from KVK Doda was the key Resource Person.
Dr. Narinder Paul provided a detailed presentation to the participants regarding farming system approach, its relevance especially to hill agriculture and analysed the importance of Farming System Analysis for revisiting Strategic Research and Extension Plan (SREP) for District Doda. The programme was attended by M.A Beg, District Agriculture Officer (Extension) Doda, Shahid Iqbal, Sub Divisional Agriculture Officer (SDAO), Thathri, Ampy Singh, Agriculture Extension Officer, Kuldeep Kumar, Suresh Kumar and other officers and extension functionaries from Department of Agriculture Doda
Officers of the Agriculture department made critical discussions with the KVK scientists regarding Farming System Analysis. M.A Beg District Agriculture Officer (Extension) Doda appreciated the efforts of KVK Doda in organising training programme on important theme and hoped it would help the extension functionaries in formulation and planning of agriculture development projects from grass root level. Programme ended with vote of thanks by Dr R.S Bandral Programme Coordinator KVK Doda.
