REASI: Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK),Reasi of Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology-Jammu organised eighth Scientific Advisory Committee (SAC) meeting at KVK, Reasi campus under the chairmanship of the Director Extension of SKUAST-Jammu Dr. K.S Risam. The meeting was attended by the district Heads and other officers from agriculture and the allied departments. Progressive farmers from different villages were also present. Dr. Shahid Ahamad, Senior Scientist-cum-Head made the presentation of work done as well as activities calendar for the next year in detail. He said that KVK is promoting new varieties of cereals, pulses, oilseeds and vegetables. He also gave a detail view of the vocational training programmes for the rural youths. Director Extension, SKUAST-Jammu Dr. K.S. Risam, gave constructive suggestions to the scientists and advised them for the work in close co-ordination with agriculture and allied departments. Dr.R.K Arora, Associate Director Extension of SKUAST-Jammu suggested the KVK team to demonstrate the technologies effectively for the benefits of farmers community and also advised the team to work diligently. In this programme Dr. Banarsi Lal, Dr. Sheetal Badyal, Dr. Sanjay Kaushal, Dr. Mandeep Singh Azad, Dr. Suja Nabi Qureshi, Lalit Upadhyay, Satbir Singh, Jagdish Kumar and Manohar Lal were also present.
