Kshatriya Rajput Sabha, Bajrang Dal perform Shastra Poojan

JAMMU: Shri Amar Ksha-triya Rajput Sabha, J and K held Shastra Poojan on Tuesday at Raj Tilak Bhawan, Purani Mandi. A large number of Rajput Biradari members along with their weapons assembled at venue and participated in Shastra Poojan.
Eminent Pandits performed Shaster Poojan amidst chanting of Ved Mantras and Hawan.
Giving details, President of the Sabha, Kr Narayan Singh informed that Shaster Poojan is an ages old traditional process of Rajput community adding that since Ramayana’s period it was a practice to clean weapons especially on this day to save the weapons from rust and keep them in working condition. He stressed that abuse of weapons should be avoided at all costs.
Prominent members who attended function were Pavitar Singh (Retd. Session Judge), B.S Jamwal General Secretary Rajput Sabha, R.S Jasrotia Secretary, M.S Jamwal (Retd. Chief Engineer), Pawan Chib (Youth President), Narinder Singh, (Youth Vice President), Shamsher Singh (Retd. DSP), Er. M.S Katoch and Vinay.
Meanwhile, Vishav Hindu Parishad (VHP) and Bajrang Dal (BD) activists also performed Shaster Pooja’.
Shaster Poojan was performed besides a Hawan and Pooja at Shri Ranbirashwar Temple, here on Tuesday.
Swami Dinesh Bharti was the Chief Guest who threw light on the background of Shastra Puja and said that the Pandavs who were in exile for 12 years had kept their arms hidden on a tree so that no one should know about them.
He said that Hindus worship Shastras that give knowledge and Shaster which protect the society. He urged the people to remain united and fight against the atrocities being committed on the deprived people in the society.
He condemned Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal for demanding such proof of the Indian Army’s surgical strikes in PoK as demanded by Hafiz Saeed of Pakistan.
He said Bajrang Dal and Hindu outfit activists should work like Lord Hanuman to save the Sadhus-saints, Hindu shrines and cow.
Bajrang Dal activists also took the pledge to maintain sovereignty and integrity of the country.
