Kranti Dal protests against sale of Maggi

JAMMU: Kranti Dal staged a demonstration against sale of Maggi in Jammu and Kashmir, here on Thursday.

Led by State President Kranti Dal Pritam Sharma, the activists assembled at Indira Chowk and staged a protest urging the State Government to take appropriate action to restrain the sale of Maggi.

“Maggi has poisonous contents which lead to serious ailments in kids,” he said adding that the samples collected from UP, Uttarakhand and New Delhi by the government officials were tested in the prestigious laboratory.

“The results showed that Maggi contained MSG, Monosodium Glumate and lead which are harmful to human beings, especially children,” he added.

He asked the government to collect the samples from the market, send them to laboratory for testing and put an immediate ban on the sale of Maggi.

Those who joined the protest include Vijay Kumar, Rajinder Bhagat, Sameer Gandotra, Neeraj Dhamin, Tarun Gupta, Rakesh Kumar, Rattan Lal, Anil Sharma, Pankaj Palwal, Vijay Sharma, Akhil Gandotra and Pt Ravi Kumar.
