KPS felicitates Class XII merit holders

JAMMU: The Kashmiri Pandit Sabha, Amphalla, Jammu organised a felicitation programme for XII Class 2015 batch merit holders of community at a gala function in Kashyap Bhawan.
Surinder Ambardar MLC, J and K Legislative Council was the Chief Guest.
The function began with a welcome address by S.K Bhagati General Secretary, Kashmiri Pandit Sabha.
He said that the Sabha is organising this programme every year to boast the morale of building students of the community.
President Kashmiri Pandit Sabha, K.K Khosa in his presidential address wished students all the best and assured help from Sabha in case of any problems. He reminded that Sabha has been rendering service to community for last 10 years especially in providing education Scholarship to thousands of students since 1990. It has provided education scholarships to more than 150 students last year and this effort will continue in future.
Later Surinder Ambardar, distributed the Cheques, Trophies and Merit Certificates to 31 student. It is heartening that which included nine students from Migrant Camp School also figure in the list. 15 KPS Scholarships were also distributed by the Chief Guest.
In addition the Sabha is also giving text books etc, also to those students who cannot afford these things while pursuing higher studies.
Ashwani Koul Vice-President Kashmiri Pandita Sabha conducted the proceedings. Dignitaries present on the occasion were R.K Raina President ASKPC, H.N Tickoo President NGO Coordination Committee and Senior KPS Member, Anil Koul, President Peshupati Temple Sarwal, Subash Dhar, R. Koul, K. Sher and R. Tickoo. G. Kampasi presented vote of thanks.
