SRINAGAR: Police on Saturday recovered a kidnapped girl and arrested the accused involved in the crime.
According to report, one person (name withheld) resident of Mattan lodged a complaint at Police Station Mattan that his niece (name withheld) was kidnapped by one Ishfaq Ahmad Kumar, son of Gul Mohammed Kumar, resident of Hogam Mattan.
A case FIR number 21/2018 under Section 363-RPC was registered in Police Station Mattan and investigation was started.
After hectic efforts, the kidnapped girl was recovered from Hogam area of District Anantnag and the accused person was arrested. After completion of legal formalities, the girl was handed over to her family members.
