Kho-Kho U-19 boys Tournament kicks off

KATHUA: The Department of Youth Services and Sports, District Kathua, has officially launched the Inter-District Division Level Kho-Kho Tournament for U19 boys, running from 20 to 28 September at the Sports Stadium in Kathua. The opening ceremony featured Sh Jarad Pratik Anil (IAS), Assistant Commissioner (UT), as the chief guest, with Sh Tara Chand, Principal of Government Higher Secondary School Boys Kathua, serving as the guest of honor.
District Youth Services and Sports Officer Sunil Singh Sambyal welcomed the chief guest with a bouquet and highlighted the department’s achievements. In his address, Sh Anil encouraged the players to embody the true spirit of sportsmanship throughout the tournament.
A total of 10 districts from the Jammu Division are competing in this event. The opening match saw Jammu take on Doda, where Jammu won the toss and chose to bat, ultimately defeating Doda by an inning and 1 point. The second match featured Udhampur facing Samba, with Udhampur securing victory by 14 points.
