SAMBA: Being organised for the first time, Khelo India’s lets play football competition, under the banner of Department of Youth Services and Sports (DYSS), got underway at Ramgarh Zone, here on Thursday.
At Poonch zone, the competition got underway at Middle School Rarian with 18 teams in boys and girls sections under different age groups. The event was declared open by Principal, Government Higher Secondary School Gho Brahmana, Ram Saroop Sharma. The competition held under the overall supervision of Vijay Singh Slathia (ZPEO) Ramgarh and officiated by the technical panel comprising Sarita Bandral, Rakesh Verma, Promila Sharma, Chander Prakash, Sanjay Gupta, Dildar Singh, Dheeraj Singh, Daljeet Singh, Sadiq Hussain, Sudesh Choudhary and Kapoor Chand. Principal of host School, Rakesh Charak was also present.
The Results: 6-12 yrs: MS Bandral beat MS Ramgarh 1-0 and Government High School (GHS) Malshah trounced HS Swankha 2-0. 13-16 yrs: GHS Swankha beat HSS Gho Brahmana 2-1 and Government Higher Secondary School (GHSS) Nandpur trounced HS Koulpur 1-0. 17-19 yrs: GHSS Ramgarh (A) beat HSS Nandpur 1-0 and GHSS Gho Brahmana trounced HSS Ramgarh (B).
