Khanna emphasises on need to save water

JAMMU: To highlight the importance of preserving water bodies, aquatic resources and the environment, a programme was organised by NSM College of Education in Bohri Talab Tillo area in the outskirts of Jammu City.
The programme titled ‘Save Water’ had BJP National Vice President Avinash Rai Khanna as Chief Guest and main speaker on the subject with BJP State President and MLA Sat Sharma CA as Guest of Honour.
Parneesh Mahajan, Chairman, NSM College of Education, presented welcome address.
Avinash Rai Khanna dwelled in details on the importance and need of saving water and advised the students to save and value water for survival of the humanity and future generations.
He said that after oxygen, it is the water which is essential for survival and each one of us should ensure that it is not wasted but saved and utilised judiciously.
Sat Sharma, while addressing the students, said that with the growing population, more and more water is required by the people and hence it should be saved so that it fulfills the needs of others. He asked the students to educate their families, friends and relatives on the importance of saving water.
Others present on the occasion included BJP State Vice-President Yudhvir Sethi, Morcha In-charge Munish Sharma, BJP Jammu West District President Ayodhya Gupta, Keshav Chopra, Bharat Bushan, Sanjay Khanna, Harvinder Singh and Rashpaul Verma.
