JAMMU: Khalsa Club Gole Gujral shall be playing against Hiranagar Club in the final of the ongoing Senior District Hockey Tournament, organised by Hockey Jammu and Kashmir, at KK HakKu Stadium, here on 11th February.
Earlier, in the second semifinal, played on Wednesday, Khalsa Club trounced Guru Nanak Nagar Club Nanak Nagar by a solitary goal. J.S Reen was lone scorer, who sounded the board in the 52nd minute.
It was a well contested game with both sides playing attacking hockey. However, Khalsa Club managed to break the defence line of Nanak Nagar in the later stages of the game.
Today’s semifinal was officiated by the technical panel comprising Iqbal Singh, Mukesh Kumar and Joginder Singh.
The AGM J&K Bank, Iqbal Singh and Ajeet Singh, both veteran hockey players, were Special Guests in today’s game. Among others present were Jaswant Singh, Rajinder Singh (both Senior Vice Presidents), Tajinder Singh, Vijay Singh and G.S Bakshi (General Secretary).
