Khalsa Club, 20 Punjab in hockey semis

JAMMU: The 20 Punjab on Wednesday joined the Khalsa Club Gole Gujral to qualify for semifinals from group-A in the ongoing Jammu District Hockey Championship, organised by Hockey Jammu and Kashmir at KK Hakku Stadium, here.
In today’s league encounter, 20 Punjab defeated Deshmesh Club Nanak Nagar 2-0. Sukhwinder Singh (50th) and Charanjit Singh (52nd) were scorers.
Meanwhile, Young Star Simbal Camp also won their match beating Zorawara Club Satwari 2-1. Sumit Pal scored both the goals for winning team striking in the 52nd and 55th minute. For Zorawar Club, Parvinder Singh took the first lead sounding the board in the 15th minute.
NEXT MATCH: Young Star Simbal Camp to face Deshmesh Club Nanak Nagar at 1:30 PM while Guru Nanak Nagar Club shall meet BSF Kashmir at 2:30 PM tomorrow.
