JAMMU: F.C Bhagat, Dy’ Commissioner (Retd) on Sunday was re-elected as President of All J and K Shri Sadguru Kabir Sabha for the consecutively second time while Manohar Lal was elected as General Secretary.
The Sabha’s election concluded here for the post of President and General Secretary which was conducted under the supervision of Election Cell of the Sabha headed by Prof. Ashok Bhagat.
After declaration of the result, a general meeting of the Bhagat community was convened at Kabir Mandir Janipur under the chairmanship of Mula Ram, former Minister where various issues for the welfare of the community were discussed and appropriate decisions were taken.
The elected President F.C Bhagat appealed to all other social organisations working for the welfare of the backward communities to keep a cordial relation among each other so as to work out the modalities for the uplift of the downtrodden.
Bhagat also nominated other office bearers of the Sabha and declared the present structure consisting of Mula Ram (Ex-Minister) Chief Patron, Bhushan Lal Dogra, V.C of SC Advisory Board as Patron, J.L Bhagat (KAS) as Patron, G.L Bhagat (IAS) Senior Vice President, Prof. Ashok Bhagat, Madan Lal, Chaman Lal, Dr. Buti Ram and Vice Presidents, Gurbhachan Bhagat, (CAO Retd), Accounts Committee Head along with Babu Ram and Ravinder Bhagat as members, Bishan Lal, Sain Dass, Yash Pal and Subhash Bhagat (Secretary), Dr. Gurdass Bhagat, Chairman of the Litigation Cell. The Sabha also constituted two advisory committees headed by Dr. K.C Bhagat, Chairman of Retd Officers and O.P Bhagat, (KAS), Chairman of In-Service officers.
Bhagat also dissolved all district and block bodies and all Kabir Mandir committees and announced that the new bodies shall be in place by ending July 2016. However the present district block committees shall function as care taker bodies till the election process is completed.
